“Kaško, what's flying over there?" Majka asked, pointing her finger into the distance.
"That's a stork," replied Kaško,
"And over there, what kind of animal is that? And there?" Majka's hands were pointing from one side to the other.
"You know what, Majka? I'll take you on a trip to observe the animals at a ranch where they will instruct you how to recognise various animal species and how to take care of them. And if we are lucky enough, we will even have some time left to go swimming in the aquapark."
You can start your trip to visit animals in the middle of Senianske Rybníky ponds and observe, but especially listen to the sounds of thousands of rare and common bird species. A nature instructional trail with some benches on its sides will lead you through the ponds to the observation tower.
The second stop during the trip can be at the Klokočina Ranch – it's not just a wild west, cowboy hats, or wild horses. It is also an animal farm with a variety of both farm and exotic animals. For horse-riding enthusiasts, there is a horse ride in a circular paddock, for the more experienced ones the ride is even in the surrounding countryside.
One can finish a day full of exercise and animal encounters in the water world Thermal Park at Šírava , which offers a children's pool, a swinging bay, or a wild river.
We recommend starting your walk through the Senianske Rybníky ponds in the village of Senné, where the first instructional signs on the trail are located, or at the manor house. The Klokočina Ranch can be easily found in the village of Klokočov after turning off the main road that runs along the Zemplínská Šírava lake. It is just a short walk from the ranch to the Thermal Park.
