To bol zážitok ako si Kaško, Max a Majka stavali vlastnú loďThat was quite an experience as Kaško, Max, and Majka were building their own boat. Uncle Beaver helped them to cut down some trees, the little birds threw a blanket over them, Uncle Deer also contributed to the work with his strength. And the boat was made! Take inspiration from the fairy tale and take a boat to Ružín.
Výlet odštartujte v obci Margecany, kde sa začína cesta Svetlonoškov. Cestou Svetlonoškov natrafíte na The Margecany Tunnel. Výlet zakončíte na Počkaj beach, kde si môžete požičať loďky a objavovať Ružín The trip starts in the village of Margecany, where the Jack-o'-Lanterns’ Trail begins. On the way through the Jack-o'-Lanterns’ Trail you will come across the Margecany Tunnel. The trip ends at the Počkaj (wait) Beach, where you can rent boats and explore Ružín from the water surface.
You can park your car on the Počkaj Beach or in the parking lot behind the bridge.
Go for a wander with a group of friends of Jack-o'-Lanterns. Each Jack-o'-Lanterns will tell you a story written on his or her sheet while shining a lantern with a light. The Jack-o'-Lanterns will guide you to their house and draw you into the fairy tale story of the neighbourhood.
The home of the fairy-tale dwarf Jack-o'-Lantern, who uses the light to call children and other pilgrims to explore his dwelling, is in the tunnel. The relevant sections of the route will be described successively on the sheets held by each statue of this warm-hearted dwarf.
Have you ever walked through a tunnel? This tunnel was once thought to be the longest tunnel, but it was destroyed by German troops. It is called the Old Bujanovský Tunnel, but it is also known as the Rolovský Tunnel. It is 430 metres long. It was later replaced by the Bujanovský Tunnel, which is the longest double-track tunnel in Slovakia. In the old tunnel, the light installation has been replaced and it is used by cyclists, cars, and hikers. When crossing the Jack-o'-Lanterns’ Trail, the tunnel will light up successively. This will create the illusion, stimulating children's imagination, that there is the Jack-o'-Lantern dwarf hiding somewhere in the darkness.
How about taking a boat and being your own captain on the Ružín Dam? The Ružín Dam is located about 35 km northwest of the city of Košice. The reservoir follows the original meanders of the Hornád River, encircling forested hills with steep cliffs. The reservoir is a paradise for fishermen, water hikers, and boaters, for whom there are possibilities of use not only in recreation centres, but also in quiet and deserted corners with two picturesque islands.
